SCCF Scholarships Eligibility

Eligibility criterion for each programme is mentioned under respective programme details.

Application Process

Last date of receipt of application 25 April 2015.

For Indian students: Applicants desirous of applying for the SCCF scholarship need to submit a separate plain paper application indicating the total family income. The following are to be attached with the application.
1. An essay (maximum 1000 words) expressing their future aspirations and how they see a masters programme at the TERI University helping them meet those aspirations.
2. Proof of income of the family.
Note: Indian students are required to fill admission application form through proper channel. Candidates who successfully clear the University eligibility criteria (including entrance examination and interview) can only apply for this scholarship after the declaration of results.

For International Students: Applicants desirous of applying for the SCCF scholarship need to submit a separate plain paper application. The following is to be attached with the application form:
1. An essay (maximum 1000 words) expressing their future aspirations and how they see a masters programme at the TERI University helping them meet those aspirations.
2. Scanned filled admission application form.

Completed applications should be sent to the correspondence address.

 

Civil Society Leadership Awards

This year TERI University is offering fellowships to 5 international candidates to study any one of the following 4 programmes at TERI University:

Scholarship details:
These fellowships are supported by “The Civil Society Leadership Awards” (CSLA). Under the CSLA, fully funded master’s level scholarships would be available to students from the following countries:
– Azerbaijan
– Belarus
– Cambodia
– Egypt
– Ethiopia
– Laos
– South Sudan
– Sudan
– Syria
– Turkmenistan
– Uzbekistan

Maneesh Manjunath Scholarship for MA (SDP) alumni funded

This scholarship is funded by Mr Kaushal Rastogi (M.Tech 2010-12) and supported by Mr Pankaj Singh (M.Tech 2009-11), alumni of TERI University and is instituted in memory of Mr Maneesh Manjunath (MA SDP 2010-12). This scholarship will be an award of Rs 5000/- a month, to be awarded to the student with the highest SGPA in the first semester of MA (SDP) programme which commenced July 2014.

World Bank Scholarships for M.A. (Sustainable Development Practice) available for foreign candidates

Announcing Joint Japan/ World Bank Graduate Scholarship Programme (JJ/WBGSP Scholarship).

Foreign students can apply for M.A.(SDP) at TERI University, stating that they wish to be considered for the academic year starting in July. TERI University will review the application and conduct a telephonic interview. If the candidate is selected, he is eligible to apply for JJ/WBGSP scholarship.

Selected candidates can apply for the JJ/WBGSP scholarships, mentioning that they would be joining M.A.(SDP) at TERI University in the academic year starting in July.

TERI University will provide provisional admission letters to the applicants, which they would need to submit for JJ/WBGSP scholarship.

Eligibility criteria

Eligibility criteria is available at World Bank website.

Additional student eligibility criteria include:

  • Be a national of a World Bank member country eligible to borrow.
  • Not more than 40 years of age.
  • Have, at least 2, preferably 4 to 5, years of recent full time professional experience acquired after a university degree, in the applicant’s home country or in another developing country.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
  • Be in good health.
  • Be of good character.
  • Not be a permanent resident or a national of any industrialized country.
  • Not be residing in an industrialized country for more than one year.
  • Not be an Executive Director, his/her alternate, staff of the World Bank Group (the World Bank, International Finance Corporation, International Development Association, Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, and International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes), consultant, or relative of the aforementioned.
