Sri Krishnadevaraya University College of Engineering & Technology came into existence in the year 2006 to mark the silver jubilee celebrations of the university. It was established to carter to the needs of the technical education of the young generation of the region. It offers Bachelor of Technology in 5 engineering branches Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Enginering. And Master of Technology in 3 courses Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Power Systems and Embedded Systems and VLSI Design from the academic year 2013-2014.
Sri Krishnadevaraya University College of Engineering & Technology was started in the year 2006, during the tenure of Prof. Athota Rama Rao, Prof.Rajuru Ramakrishna Reddy, Prof.C.R.Vishweshar Rao, as Vice Chancellor, Registrar and Rector of the S.K.University respectively and Dr.D.Sai Baba Reddy was appointed as the Principal of S.K.University College of Engineering and Technology. In fact the college came in to existence through the ardent efforts of the Professors and well-wishers of the Campus.

An applicant for admission to M.Tech Course must have the following qualifications.
B.E./B.Tech./AMIE in CSE / CSIT / IT / CSSE, M.Sc.(Comp. Sc.), M.Sc.(information Systems), M.Sc.(Information Technology), MCA (or) Equivalent for admission into Computer Science, B.E./B.Tech./AMIE in Electrical & Electronics Engg. / Electrical Engg. (or) Equivalent for admission into Electrical Power Systems and B.E./B.Tech./AMIE in ECE/EEE/CSE/CSIT/EIE/AMIETE/M.Sc.(Electronics/Instrumentation) (or) Equivalent for admission into Embedded Systems and VLSI Design and Valid GATE Score obtained in the GATE Examination or rank secured in PGECET.
The admission to the M.Tech. course, under “Category A” seats, is through GATE Examination or a State-Level Entrance Test called “Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test” (PGECET), conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
70% of the seats under “Category A” are filled by the Convener of PGECET based on the rank secured in GATE/ PGECET and as per the rules of reservation in force.
